Ok this is what I use for the norn fighting tournament (for ranger but it can work for other professions)
12channelling
12 communing
7 expertise(sup expertise mask)
1.wanderlust
2.anguish
3.bloodsong
4.vampirism
5.pain
6.shadowsong
7.painful bond
8."finish him!"

before you enter, check if its a caster or not, if it is use wanderlust first, if its not, use shadowsong
if your against someone who does AoE dmg like cynn or that warrior that uses firestorm, run around and place spirits
use "Finish Him!" when their health is less than 50%, it should be able to finish them off
when your against magni, put up shadowsong right away or youre dead. follow up with wanderlust, cast painful bond, then put up the other spirits
if you go against the guy with two minion fungal wallow people, your dead (haha!)
against razah (the spirit spammer guy), make sure you dont get too close and kill yourself
have fun! it may take you several times to get this right, but eventually you will get it
This build also works for the Glacial Griffon. |

Also, some other builds for ranger that can work are burning arrow ranger with pin down replacing res sig and toucher with Grenth's Balance as elite
